Una Health are an exciting, fast-growing healthtech from Berlin. By combining mobile and biosensors with behavioural science, they have developed the most effective algorithm-based digital therapy for treating metabolic dysfunction on the planet.
They have a huge opportunity to make a difference. Since 2000 there has been a 300% increase in the number of diabetes sufferers. Insulin-resistant conditions like Type 2 diabetes and Polycystic Ovary Syndrome are considered to be part of the largest pandemic of our lifetime with over $800bn being spent to manage diseases per year.
It doesn’t need to be this way and Una know how. Their service delivers completely personalised treatment through targeted nutrition & sustainable lifestyle management interventions. And, since becoming officially medical device certified, they now plan to roll out their free-to-use service to the entire German healthcare system.
As Una roll out their service across Europe they recognise the importance of keeping their growing team and investors aligned to their vision.
Over 3 weeks we collaborated with founders Dominic Steele, Matthew Fenech and Pascal Grimm, to envisage the future of the Una Heath patient experience.
We captured the desired experience for both patients and healthcare professionals with six product principles. Viewed collectively the principles are designed to act as a compass for decision-making and ensure the product remains consistent to both patient and business needs.
To bring the principles to life, each was illustrated with a true-to-life patient scenario and a handful of feature vignettes. These are small glimpses of the experience that when viewed collectively evoke the ideal patient experience.
Building on their successful German pilot, Una's impact is set to grow as they expand their service across Europe. By keeping their team and investors aligned to their vision, they will ensure the Una Heath patient experience stays true to their mission.
